One Stormy Night

3rd Mar 2023

Did you know that bulls are colour blind? Or that it's best to use a flat hand when feeding a horse?  Well Ms. O'Dowd's 1st Class learned lots about how to 'read' animals when we attended an online reading for World Book Week organised by Childrens Books Ireland.  We listened to author Alma Jordan read an excerpt from One Stormy Night, a book from her Hazel Tree Farm series.  We also learned to draw some animals along with illustrator Margaret Anne Suggs.  Here's a tip for when you're around dogs...1 hand enough, 2 hands too ruff!!

We had a 'Who Am I' fairy tale quiz during the week along with DEAR time every day; we even made Mr. Twits beard in art class and finished World Book Week by dressing up.
