Cross Country Success

19th Sep 2025

Today, 48 children from Third to Sixth classes travelled to Donaghmede Park to take part in a cross country competition. It was organised by Clongriffin Athletics Club and eight other schools from the area were in attendance. There had been a lot of rain before the event so underfoot conditions were quite slippy. Despite this, and despite the fact that it was the first time some children had competed in a cross country event, athletes from St. Marnock's acquitted themselves excellently. We came away with a haul of different coloured medals, some individual medals for a top five finish in a race and sets of team medals for top three placings in races. Here are the results:

Ben Malone, Fourth Class: Bronze
