GAA Weekly Round Up

2nd Oct 2025

🏐 GAA Weekly Round-Up

It has been another fantastic week of GAA action for our school teams, with plenty of excitement on the pitch and some brilliant performances across the board.

Junior Boys

Our Junior Boys put in a strong display away to St Brigid’s BNS, coming away with a well-deserved win. From the very start, the boys worked hard, showing great teamwork and determination in every position. Their attacking play was full of energy, and their defending was just as solid – a brilliant all-round performance!

Junior Girls

The Junior Girls also had a great victory this week against Belgrove GNS. The girls played with real spirit, moving the ball quickly and taking their scores with confidence. It was fantastic to see how well they supported each other on the pitch – a real team effort that secured a well-earned win.

Senior Girls

The Senior Girls faced Gaelscoil Uí Earcáin at home in tough, rainy conditions. Despite the weather, they played an excellent game, showing great skill, teamwork, and resilience. Their hard work paid off as they secured the result they needed to progress to the quarter finals next week.

Looking Ahead

Next week is a big one for our teams:

  • Both the Senior Boys and Senior Girls will be competing in their quarter finals, an exciting stage of the competition.

  • The Junior Boys and Girls will take part in a double-header vs Oliver Plunketts NS on Tuesday in Naomh Mearnóg, which promises to be another great day of football.

We are very proud of all our players for their commitment, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Best of luck to all our teams in the matches ahead – we’ll be cheering you on! 🎉👏
