Marnocks GAA Weekly Round up
π A Big Week of GAA at St. Marnock’s! π
What a week it has been for our football teams – full of firsts, fantastic performances, and plenty of school spirit!
β¨ Junior Girls
Our Junior Girls played their very first match representing St. Marnock’s away to St. Brigid’s. Thanks to a little mix-up from Mr. Spellacy, the girls enjoyed an extra-long warm-up (arriving over an hour early! π
). The wait was worth it, as the girls put in a brilliant performance and came away with a fantastic win. They were a real credit to their school and clubs – well done, girls! π
β¨ Junior Boys
On Tuesday, our Junior Boys took on Scoil Assaim Raheny on the astro pitches in St. Anne’s Park. This was also their very first time representing the school, and they did so in style – coming out emphatic winners on the day! A superb start to their football journey with St. Marnock’s. πͺ
β¨ Senior Boys
Thursday saw our Senior Boys travel to Castleknock for their final group stage fixture – a must-win game to reach the quarter-finals. With determination and teamwork, they powered ahead and left Somerton with a brilliant victory. The boys now look forward to an exciting quarter-final clash. π
π Thank You
A huge thank you to all the parents and guardians who kindly provided lifts to the games, and to our dedicated teachers who give their time to coach, train, and support the teams. These successes wouldn’t be possible without you!
What a week for St. Marnock’s GAA – the future is bright!
