Today 3rd Classes went on their school tour to Rockfield House outside Kells. From the moment we stepped off the bus, we were transported back in time and straight into a day of laughter and learning. The children became Lords and Ladies of the Manor and met with Lady Rockfield to learn how to speak and walk with etiquette. Everyone (including the teachers) dressed up in fine clothes for the occasion! The class also learned a Victorian dance. Later on, the children dressed up as servants and learned how to wash clothes by pumping water and using washboards! The class also enjoyed blowing giant bubbles, playing with giant dominoes, visiting the dark basement and racing the go-karts. It really was a school tour to remember - a perfect mix of history and fun!
